2. Contest is open to BC residents only who have reached the age of majority as of April 1st, 2010. Prize package is valued at approximately $4,000.00.
3. By accepting this prize the winner agrees that Destination Nanaimo will act as the travel planner and liaison, and that Destination Nanaimo will make every effort to prepare the itinerary in one visit (one week). Any unused prizes must be booked and used by the winner before December 31st, 2010.
4. Prizes are not redeemable in cash and must be accepted as awarded. No substitutions will be available. All other costs and expenses associated with this prize package, including without limitation to, all transportation, additional accommodations if required, meals not specifically included, upgrades, gratuities, insurance, taxes and items of a personal nature are the responsibility of the winner and his/her guest. Blackout dates and restrictions may apply.
5. A random draw will be held on July 5th, 2010. The chance of winning depends upon number of eligible entries received. All decisions of the contest sponsor (Destination Nanaimo) are final.
6. By accepting the prize the winner authorizes the use, without additional compensation of his or her name and/or likeness and/or voice/photograph and place of residence for promotion and/or advertising purposes in any manner and any medium which Destination Nanaimo may deem appropriate.
7. By accepting the prize, the winner and guest acknowledge that the City of Nanaimo may not be held liable for any loss, damages, or injury associated with accepting or using this prize.
8. Before being declared a winner the selected entrant will be required to sign and return the contest sponsor's declaration and release form confirming acceptance of and compliance with the official contest rules and acceptance of prize as offered; acknowledging the non-responsibility of the sponsor its agents, and the prize suppliers in respect to injuries, accident, loss or misfortune relating to the contest or the awarding of the prize. If prize documents are not returned within fourteen days of delivery thereof the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.
9. Destination Nanaimo retains the right in its absolute and sole discretion to make substitutions of equivalent kind or approximate value in the event of unavailability of any prize or component of the prize for any reason whatsoever.
10. This contest is subject to all federal, provincial, and municipal laws.
11. City of Nanaimo employees or their immediate family members are not eligible to win the Secret Nanaimo prize.
12. Destination Nanaimo reserves the right to withdraw or terminate this contest without prior notice.
